We talk to the acclaimed French chef chef of Daniel, and restaurateur Daniel Boulud about how he started cooking and we learn one of his favorite recipes from growing up in Lyon. Boulud has restaurants in New York City, Palm Beach, Miami, Montreal, Toronto, London, Beijing, and Singapore. He is best known for Daniel, his eponymous, Michelin 3-star restaurant in New York City, Café Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne, Bar Boulud, DBGB Kitchen & Bar, and Boulud Sud in New York City. Restaurant “Daniel” was rated one of the top ten restaurants in the world by the International Herald Tribune. Boulod was named Chef of the Year by Bon Appétit, and Daniel received Gourmet’s Top Table Award, a four-star rating from the New York Times, Wine Spectator’s Grand Award, and New York City’s top ratings for cuisine, service and decor in the Zagat Survey.
