Crock-Pot Recipe: Split Pea Soup with a Ham Bone or Some Ham

Here’s a recipe for split pea soup with a ham bone in it, cooked in the Crock-Pot slow cooker. I think this is one of my better crock pot recipes. This recipe is fairly Heart Healthy and Weight Watchers friendly as well. The ingredients are 1 lb. of dried split peas, 2 lbs. of baby carrots, 6 red potatoes, ham, or a ham bone, and chicken bouillon and onion powder for seasonings.

Ahhh here it is. It looks delicious. and I love how you limited the
chopping by using whole baby carrots. I have some trouble with the
    chopping too at times.

Looks yummy! Sounds like a great recipe. I like the ending note, “pork is
    underrated.” Lol!
