Creamy Mushrooms
Food Ingredients:
25 grams butter 450 grams button mushrooms wiped clean 1 tablespoon flour 1 50 m l fresh milk 2 tablespoons wholegrain mustard 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon chopped or ½ tsp dried tarragon 3 tablespoons sp soured cream
Recipe preparation:
1 M elt the butter in a large saucepan or frying pan on the simmering plate. 2 Add the mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes. 3 Stir in the flour and then the milk. 4 Heat stirring conti nuo sly until the sauce thickens and is smooth. 5 Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes. 6 Stir in the mustard tarragon and souredcream. 7 Serve hot on a bed of chicory and lettuce. 8 Commercially grown button mushrooms often do not have much flavour. 9 This recipe adds gentle flavouring. Serve the mushrooms on a bed of lettuce and chicory with maybe some bread to mop up any juices . 10 Serves 4
