Creamsicle Cake

Food Ingredients:
1 box cake mix orange 2 teaspoons orange extract 8 ounces whipped cream topping such as Cool Whip 8 ounces sour cream 1 cup powdered sugar teaspoon orange extract

Recipe preparation:
1 Bake cake according to instructions adding the additional 2 tsp of orange extract. Bake in a 9×13 pan for 35 minutes at 350. 2 When cool, mix sour cream, extract, and sugar together. When fully blended, fold in Cool Whip. Spread on top of cake. 3 NOTES: really tastes like a creamsicle. The key is the icing. You can make this as a layer cake. Bake in 2 8″ cake pans and split each layer in half. 4 Icing makes enough to frost a 2 layer cake or 2 9×13 cakes 5 Be sure to have copies of the recipe on hand because folks will want it once they taste it. 6 If you can’t find orange cake mix, use regular yellow (not butter) cake mix, add an additional Tablespoon of orange extract to the mix and a few drops of orange food color. 7 Alternate: 1 pkg orange cake mix, 1 cup sour cream, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup sugar, 4 lg eggs bake at 350
