Whether you’re in a tapas bar in Madrid or at home with a surplus of eggs, onions and potatoes, this traditional Spanish food is never a wrong choice. But—which chef has the best recipe? Today, we’re putting three recipes for the classic Spanish dish to the test: Recipes by Martha Stewart, Jose Andres and Marco Pierre White. Our chefs battle it out and break down the tips and tricks from each to see which Spanish Tortilla is the most delicious. Also known as a Spanish Omelette, the tortilla espanola is the perfect meal for any time of day.

Luis – Did you not see who they referenced their recipe from? It was right there in the beginning of the video. Now, these people are being extremely nice to you, but I will tell you what I think. Your ignorance on American culture is offensive. We are trying to embrace different cultures and just because an hands touched it, doesn't mean it lost its authenticity.

    an-american

We do have our own food. And you can give us back the potato, tomato, corn and chocolate (to name just a few) if you really want to remain traditional.

Hmm, Mexico is part of America…North America. What I meant was, if Europe hadn't made use of food from the Americas they would be eating very differently today. No cuisine (in the past 500 years) has remained truly static. So what exactly is traditional?

People don't seem to understand the point of this show…
Keep up the good work RecipeWars, I love the different perspectives to the same dish =)

Thank you for enjoying the concept.

    Great concept..Love the presentation.

I like the show, but since the plates for the dishes looks the same it makes it harder to distinguish them.

I think more juicy would be more tasty. The version from J. Andrés i think is for singles and, try to add spanish sobrasada. Great chapter and good spanish spelling.

Thanks. We did our best to keep the language authentic!

Is possible that the girl on the right (Judith Jones if I got it right) is spanish or has spanish ancestors? Her pronuntiation ("tortilla española", "Jose Andrés"…) is just perfect (both spanish and english).

  12. Carlota. M

Mmm i dont think she is spanish. She has an accent

  13. Carlota. M

Mmm im spanish and the more accurate recipe is the one of the guy but i dont get why he wants to add spicy sause

  14. Carlota. M

And the potatoe chip one….terrible….that is not sth we do

  15. Roberto Perez Miro

I'm spanish, and the chips tortilla its really an idea of Ferran Adria, Jose Andres its a great Chef partner of Ferran in their younghood. The BC recipe its the authentic basic Spanish Tortilla, you can add peppers, chorizo, etc… in every spanish kitchen you have a different recipe but the base its the same. The Martha recipe stinks.

Not trying to hate, but the dude that did MPW version made so many mistakes.

Marco specifically said when frying the potato, to do it in two batches.
But this guy decided he wanted to dump the whole thing in.
That is why this guys potatos looked soggy and am sure tasted greasy.

Also, he was to fast to do a "flip it dido".
He made a point about not burning it, but Marco aslo mentioned that you don`t want to go to quick or else the egg will go all over the place like this guy.

    But was entertaining.

But like someone mentioned before, "People seem to not understand the point of the show? "
Just wondering what is the point? Entertainment or education? Both?
