Belgian Pork With Sauerkraut

Food Ingredients:
1/2 inch thick Salt pepper 2 cups undrained sauerkraut 1 med. onion, thinly sliced 1 lg. apple, thinly sliced 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped 2 teaspoons brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon allspice

Recipe preparation:
1 Spray a large skillet with non-stick vegetable cooking spray. Over medium heat brown pork chops on both sides; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. 2 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In 8 inch square baking dish, toss sauerkraut, onion, 1/2 the apple slices, parsley, brown sugar, allspice and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Lay pork chops on top of sauerkraut and top with remaining apple slices. Cover and bake for 1 hour, or until pork is tender. Makes 4 servings, about 290 calories each.
