Baked Mac and Cheese

Food Ingredients:
1/2 pound elbow macaroni 3 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon dry mustard 3 cups milk 1/2 cup yellow onion diced small bay leaf 1/2 teaspoon paprika l lg. egg 12 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese l tsp. kosher salt fresh black pepper Topping 3 tablespoons butter 1 cup panko bread crumbs

Recipe preparation:
1 Preheat oven to 350 2 Pot of boiling salted water add pasta follow directions 3 In a large pot, melt butter add flour and whisk for about 5 min. or so make sure you have not lumps.Stir in milk, bay leaf, onions, paprika and keep whisking 4 Simmer for about 10 minutes or so. 5 Remove bay leaf 6 Temper in the egg. 7 Stir in about 3/4 of cheese. 8 Season with salt and pepper 9 Spray a large baking dish with Pam 10 Fold in the Macaroni 11 Pour into baking dish 12 Sprinkle rest of cheese over this 13 Make topping 14 Saute butter with panko crumbs 15 Spread on top 16 Bake 30 min or so until nice and brown
