Authentic French Crepe Recipe (Fast And Easy Cooking)

Delicious and easy recipe for authentic French crepe. Yummy for breakfast or snack. Serve with peanut butter, jam, honey, cinnamon or your favourite topping. On May 28, 2014 I saw Mr. Jacques Pepin demonstrate this recipe on Rachel Ray show. He used to do TV shows with the legendary Julia Childs. He served the crepes with choices of jams and condiments as well. Thanks to my niece for her cooking demonstration. See the recipe below:

Authentic French Crepe

2 eggs
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1 cup water
peanut butter
jam
honey
cinnamon

In a mixing bowl, beat 2 eggs with a wisk. Beat in melted butter. Add flour and gradually mix in. Add milk and gradually beat in. Add water and beat in until all lumps are gone.

Heat pan to medium heat. use a napkin to grease pan with cooking oil. Put 1 ladle of crepe mixture into pan and spread out evenly. When edges start curling and crepe starts to bubble, turn over. Cook until lightly brown. Flip back over to original side and put on plate. Fold in half and spread peanut butter and jam over crepe. Fold again and drizzle honey over crepe. Add a few shakes of cinnamon to finish. You an also serve with fruit, whipped cream or your favourite topping.
Enjoy!

This was my first time making crepes. Your recipe is very good! I accidentally overdid the honey and cinnamon, but it turned out great 🙂 Thank you for posting your video!

Nice recipe, I will try it! It's curious that even though you are making a french recipe your background music is traditional chinese xD

I used a stand mixer to do the mixing, takes no time and no lumps. Also used 2 cups milk instead of water, always add1 tsp vanilla extra. I used fruits inside the crepe like fresh strawberries, black berries, banana, chocolate sause and sifted power sugar on top.  Yummy!!
