A Healthy Paula Deen Recipe? 11/12/10

Janet D’s Ooey Gooey Peanut Butter Pie
Crust –
1 Brownie Mix, 1/2 stick butter(melted), 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup egg substitute.
Filling –
4 ounces light cream cheese, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 cup peanut butter, 3/4 cup egg substitute, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.

    @Phonetroll funny thing was I mixed it all up & got hubby ready to film & realized I forgot the vanilla so I really soaked it! Its almost never too much! LOL

    Sure looks yummy! I amways sub apple suace for the butter or oil in cakes and such. Helps them stay moist longer. Lol not that they last long round the kiddos

    @cincat09 not sure about the actual # of calories but I'm sure its probably between 100 & 200 less per serving. Still not a low calorie dessert but healthier without all of that butter. You could still reduce the butter to none and just use all pumpkin – That would save a lot – not sure how good it would be though.
