Thakkali Kuzhambu
Food Ingredients:
1 cup Tomatoes, diced 1/4 cup Onion, chopped 2 Garlic cloves, sliced 2 Green chilies 1 cup Coconut milk 1 teaspoon Chili powder 1 teaspoon Kuzhambu powder 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds Salt to taste Sesame oil
Recipe preparation:
1 Heat oil in a kadai, wok or large frying pan and add mustard seeds. When it crackles add the onions, garlic and green chilly, fry for few minutes. 2 Add the tomatoes and fry until they are mashed. 3 Next, add the chilly powder, kuzhambu powder, turmeric and salt. Add enough water, cover with lid and simmer for 8 mins. 4 Finally, add the coconut paste, bring to boil and serve hot with dosa or idly.
