Recipe ingredients and directions:
1 1/2 pounds lean gorund beef
1 cup burgundy wine
1/4 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
3 slices bread, torn into small pieces
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion chopped
1 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup catsup
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Heat oven to 350 F. Mix beef, wine, sage, thyme, salt, 1/2 teaspoon
dry mustard, pepper, Worchestershire sauce, bread, egg, galic,
onion, and mushrooms together. Spread mixture in a 8-1/2×4-1/2×2-1/2
inch or 9x5x2 inch loaf pan.
Mix brown sugar, catsup, ginger, garlic salt, soy sauce, and 1
teaspoon dry mustard together in a small bowl. Mix well. Spread
sauce over meatloaf. Bake for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until done.
