Who doesn’t love a good shrimp pasta recipe with lots of garlic, wine , butter? Who says you have to go out to dinner for this dish? Now you can make this at home.
This seafood dish is so simple and easy to make you’ll wonder why you haven’t made it before!
Some people have asked me if you can substitute the wine for something else like chicken broth. I don’t recommend it as I think it’s the wine along with everything else (butter, garlic, lemon, parsley, onion) really makes this dish.
Ingredients:
16 large shrimp
olive oil
3/4 cup white wine
5 to 6 cloves of garlic, finely, finely minced
6 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup or more of fresh chopped parsley
1 green onion thinly sliced
1/2 lemon juiced
salt to taste
6 oz. of Pasta, cooked
Directions:
Defrost and remove the shell from the shrimp. Devein it if you need to. Heat your frying pan over medium heat, add some olive oil (about a tablespoon or so) and butter. When the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add the shrimp to the pan as well as the onion and wine. Next add the lemon juice and the parsley. Turn over the shrimp as it turns pink. Shrimp should only take about 5 to 6 minutes to cook.
Serve over pasta or rice for dinner. Add a nice salad with some good french bread and dinner will be amazing. Oh and don’t forget a nice glass of wine. It’s amazingly good.
Bon appetite!

ok i love it ok i like it ok ok
Looks good but you should have tossed the pasta in the pan with the shrimp
to soak up the sauce…….very good though.
The shrimps should be seared off on a hot pan. Hot pan, olive oil, garlic,
and sear off the shrimp to give it good caramelization. Once they are
seared off on both sides, (turn only once) deglaze the pan with white wine,
so all of those flavour embedded in the pan can be lifted off and be
infused to the sauce. Then you add your butter and lemon juice, adding
freshly cracked pepper and freshly chopped parsley. Without the
caremelization of shrimp, the sauce won’t develop sufficient rich flavour.
I am a 11 year old girl and I love your vids they really inspire me thanks
a lot
Buongiorno to you.
Yummy recipe…I love seafood spaghetti.
Well done
Looks amazing!! Hopefully I can make this soon 🙂 Love shrimp
Looks amazing, but do I have to add the wine or can I skip that part? Will
it still be delish???
Frozen shrimp? I guess if you live in the interior of the country. I live
in one of the areas where the sea & a lot of the inland waterways &
estuaries are still quite pristine & CLEAN, the Southeast. This year we are
having a banner year for shrimp & oysters. FRESH SHRIMP & FRESH OYSTERS. I’
gonna cook me up some scampi NOW! YUM! P.S. our local shrimp (i.e. from
Beaufort, S.C. to Savannah Ga.) are considered the sweetest, best tasting
shrimp in the country. NEVER buy “Asian farmed” shrimp. You’ll get sick.
Watch a vid here on YouTube on how these “shrimp” are “farmed.” It’s
sickening.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, MA’AM!!!
looks SO good! I love italian food! gonna have to make this soon! :)
ooh ***** it looks good!
This is a great delicious recipe! !!
The freezing probably eliminates parasites too? First rule of buying sushi
is to make sure it was frozen at some point, or so I am told :p
man i hope i have a wife that know how to cook.
CIAO! i’m italian and i must say this pasta looks great.
my only doubt is for the butter: italians rarely use it, especially for sea
food.
let me suggest you to put all spaghetti in the pan full of shrimps and
sauce at min 5.47:
it’ll be much better!!!
Is their any subs for the wine
You’re rite about getting them frozen they are handled less one thing
though they took out the poop shoot but if you look at the underside they
still had the vain inside I love shrimp but it is a cleaning job over all
nice video
I did this dish for my wife today and it came out delicious, thank you for
you’re video it really made my wife happy and myself.
Although this recipe and video were great, I found it while looking for
seafood mix recipes. I have G. E. R. D. which basically gives me heartburn
if I eat foods with spices and garlic/onion. I can’t find any recipes to
accommodate this curse. You seem super knowledgeable, got any tips?
This was an amazing presentation and the dish looks delicious. I will try
this, for sure. Thanks so much !!!
Looks fantastic can’t wait to make this =)
