Riz Orientale
Food Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter cup finely-chopped onion 1 cup raw rice 2 teaspoons white or black raisins 1/4 cup blanched almonds 1 1/2 cups chicken broth salt, to taste freshly-ground pepper, to taste
Recipe preparation:
1 Saute onions in butter in a small saucepan until wilted. Add rice, raisins, and almonds; stir. 2 Add the broth, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
