Rinderrouladen. EASY COOKING IN GERMANY

Beef Roulade is a traditional dish in Germany and Austria. Beef is filled with mustard, onion and pickles and rolled. Then fryed and slow cooked.
Preparing this dish is almost the same everywhere. As usual side dishes serve red cabbage and depending on the region boiled potatoes , mashed potatoes, salad, noodles or dumplings

    I always wondered why people do the flour/water thing on the side then
    add.. but know one explained why before LOL thanks Never seen with tomato
    paste before. Can’t wait to try it that way.

    u left out the bacon in the rouladen.. 🙁

    well normally flour can disolve better with cold water, so if you do it
    when cooking you will end up without mixing it completely.. so they
    recomend to disolve it before cooking, this way is easy.. try it anyway,
    then you will know what exactly happens 🙂 maybe you find the magic way 🙂

    you can add sour cream if the sauce is cold, if not it will melt and wont
    give the same ending to your gravy

    Do you ever add sour cream to the sauce? And the addition of the
    pickles,isn’t that Austrian?

    tomato paste.. u can find it next to the mustard tubes or seasonings… if
    u dont find it you can also use half cup of tomato sauce..
