
Onion Rings - Quick and Easy Snack Recipe
Onions make everything taste better.
These Onion Rings are crispy and light, can be made with simple ingredients. Flavor them up the way you like and they taste fantastic. You can make the batter ahead of time and fry them the moment you want to enjoy.
Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour (Maida) – 3/4 Cup
- Corn Flour – 1/4 Cup
- Garlic Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat Masal Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Baking Soda – 1/8 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Yogurt (beaten) – 1/4 Cup
- Onion (Cut in 1/4 inch rings) – 2 medium
- Panko Bread Crumbs – 1 Cup
- Oil – for deep Frying
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onions into 1/4-inch (1/2 cm) slices and separate into rings.
- 2. In a large bowl stir flour, cornstarch, baking powder, yougurt, garlic powder, salt to taste
- 3. Dip onion rings in the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 4. Heat oil to 350-360F (170-180C) and fry the onion.
- 5. Finally take them out on a paper towel to remove excess oil and sprinkle Chaat Masal Powder for a special aroma.
- ENJOY!
Notes
Batter fried Onion Rings stay crisp for an hour and crumb coated one for 6 hrs !
