Oat Cakes

Food Ingredients:
1 cup quick oats 2 tablespoons flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1/4 cup hot water 1/4 cup quick oats

Recipe preparation:
1 Place 1/2 of the quick oats in blender container; cover and blend until oats are a fine powder. 2 Repeat with another 1/2 cup quick oats. 3 Combine blended oats, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted butter and hot water. 4 Sprinkle a board with 1/4 cup quick oats. Pat out dough to a 10 inch circle about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 12 wedges. 5 Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. 6 Turn off oven and leave the door open. Leave the oat cakes in the oven until firm and crisp, 4 to 5 minutes. 7 Serve with butter.
