MEG | Slow Cooker Turkey Chili Recipe

NGREDIENTS
– 2 pounds ground turkey
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 can kidney beans (15oz), drained and rinsed
– 1 can white beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
– 4 (14-ounce) cans diced fire roasted tomatoes or regular if you can’t find fire roasted
– 1 large sweet potato peeled and grated
– 1 can (15 oz) chicken broth
– 1/4 cup instant tapioca
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon kosher salt
– 2 teaspoons onion powder
– 2 teaspoons garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
OPTIONAL 1 to 2 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, chopped


DIRECTIONS

1) Starting with ground turkey, put all ingredients into slow cooker.
2) Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
3) Top with cheese, sour cream, green onion or you other favorite chili toppings and enjoy!

    Since I didn't have enough time to wait for the 6-8 hours, I found the conversion from Low to High in the Crock-Pot website and used it based on 7 hours. It ended up really tasty :)

    So you didn't mention this when cooking but did you put cheese in it because you say Brooks had some cheese on his lip when eating the chili.
