i’m loving the music
I am about as old as the professor and therefore have had much more
experience making popped corn on the stove top than in the microwave (which
hadn’t been invented until I was in middle age… YIKES!) The pot used is
inconsequential. We used a cheapass Paul Revere 4 qt piece for DECADES and
it was the best snack! I must confess that we did it so often that we would
simply forget we had the damn thing heating… cannot remember how many
times we set the thing on fire (except for the two times that the upper
cabinets got lit as well, LOL!) Just scrubbed it and started over. Try this
old fashioned method. It’s far superior to the “instant” stuff!
Ohhhh yeahhhhh lmfao
Truly the Bob Ross of popcorn.
I love his patience and simplicity. Everyone is in a rush these days.
Thanks for the video :)
Great job Ken. Loved watching you and seeing you in action. I’ll have to
try this method.
Great video Ken. I have popcorn every night but have been making it wrong
all these years (30). just corn oil and medium high heat and then salted.
fast but boring. I will have to try it your way. The dog was great too…
I never made popcorn before watching this video. I just made it and it is
absolutely delicious. I put salt and some butter when it was done cooking.
Very good! Thank you for sharing it! A lot healthier to make it at home
with no additives what so ever and with healthy oil
we need a 2014 update!
Thank you kind sir, your tips were most helpful :)
Yes indeed the oil amount is over the top, but I know it would be terrific!
White popcorn is a must! I agree with you wife! I have tried coconut oil
and it is fabulous! Grape seed oil is also good. Macadamia nut oil I
can imagine is terrific! I also do the two kernel pop thing first! I
think it makes the popcorn better! They pop faster as they are in the
heat shorter.. makes them crisp. I do not cook slowly! With a cup of oil
and popping slowly the oil is being absorbed by the popcorn no doubt! That
makes it very tasty! Leaving the top open is also important! Steam need to
escape! Nice touch with the popcorn song on the video! I will have to
treat myself to a whole cup of macadamia nut oil! Yikes! 🙂 From one
popcorn authority to another great video and keep popping!
Chris
Wait… What about salt??
