Joanne created Fifteen Spatulas to show people the cooking from scratch isn’t as intimidating as they might think. On the blog you’ll find recipes with step-by-step photos and explanations of the how’s and why’s of cooking (like why patting a steak dry before searing is so important, or how the hardness of your tap water can affect the strength of your bread dough). Happy cooking!

This was very helpful because I hate it when there are loads of unpoped
    curnals thanks Joanna

Wait if you add butter then won’t the popcorn be soggy (I don’t like soggy
    popcorn)

That’s crazy. When I eat microwave popcorn, I’m always disappointed by how
little there is, I’ve never thought it was too much! But I agree that the
artificial butter flavors in the microwave bags aren’t very good, and they
are usually a bit waxy. It’s weird that you said popcorn doesn’t keep very
well. Back when I lived with my parents, if we all had popcorn one night,
whatever popcorn my parents didn’t finish I just ate for breakfast the next
day. It’s weird I guess, but I really enjoy popcorn that’s been out for
several hours. Nothing beats freshly made popcorn from scratch. I eat
popcorn literally everyday (evening dessert is a basically a proper meal
for me, where there might be cookies, cake, or ice cream, but popcorn is
always a given), but I use a hot air popper. Much easier than this and it
doesn’t require oil. Thanks for the tutorial though, I want to make popcorn
on the stove myself sometime soon.
