    Hi, roald46 – There are no dumb questions in cooking. That’s how you learn,
    so we’re glad you asked! In this recipe, the eggs are cooked when they’re
    stirred into the hot milk mixture. The important step is to “temper” the
    eggs before adding them to the hot milk. This means stirring a small amount
    of hot milk quickly into the eggs. This preheats them so they may be added
    to the rest of the hot milk in the saucepan without separating. Stirring
    constantly with a whisk or fork as you pour the tempered eggs into the
    sauce pan will blend together. You’ll know the eggs are cooked as the
    custard thickens. Happy cooking!

    Hello! I followed all the steps and recipe to make this pie! But after 15
    min in the oven it did not cook, it was still a liquid 🙁 so i had to
    freeze it instead so its not a mess to eat, the filling still taste good
    :(( PLZ reply!!
