Goreyhaus’ Filipino Chicken Adobo

Food Ingredients:
10 inches chicken thighs, bones and skin on 4 large garlic cloves, crushed or chopped cup soy sauce 2/3 cup water 2 bay leaves 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper OR 6 whole black peppercorns

Recipe preparation:
1 Wash the chicken thighs in cool water and pat dry with paper towels. 2 Place all the chicken in the bottom of a deep pot or Dutch oven. 3 Add all the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. 4 Place pot over medium heat, partially covered, and bring to a low boil. 5 Cook for about 45 minutes, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked; stirring often to be sure chicken cooks evenly, and is well-coated with sauce. 6 When chicken is cooked, remove lid and allow sauce to reduce & thicken slightly; about 5 to 10 minutes. 7 Remove bay leaves and serve.
