It’s so hard to find a decent burger in the local area, this should help the restaurant stand out, and possibly even pull them out of financial trouble. To make sure the public are hungry for the recipe, Gordon first heads out into the streets to do some taste tests.

Pffft…. A real burger doesn’t have mustard. It has chopped pepper,
carrot, tomato, candy floss, pecan nuts, bourbon whiskey, corn flakes, eye
drops, rubber bands, coins and shredded birthday cards. Gordon needs to go
back to Switzerland.

It is really funny too see all this comments on how Gordon make HIS burger
wrong. The thing is, it is HIS burger, HIS recipe, HIS taste. Someone once
said, there are no real recipe on food, you could do whatever you like, as
long it is good.
That’s not a real hamburger. A hamburger patty is supposed to be ground
beef and nothing more (except seasoning – salt pepper). When you add onion,
egg and stuff like that it’s not a real hamburger anymore – it’s a meatloaf
patty.

The recipie is told secret even though gordon just told us the whole thing

gordon doesn’t know how to make a burger. when you pack it together like
that it doesn’t brown right, you just end up with a greasy lump of shit
that’s not properly cooked all the way through. a good burger should be
made so that the patty just barely holds together and once it’s not on the
grill it shouldn’t be smashed (smashing before the fat is rendered is ok)
otherwise it’ll be dry garbage.
that meat has been overhandled and won’t brown right, look up the malliard
reaction. you want as much of that as possible to happen and if the meat
has the texture of a pate then it won’t have enough surface area to brown
properly

What he just make was a meat loaf paste then formed it into a round shape
to fit a bun.
A burger needs fat, min 20%, 30% better, you don’t compress the meat, you
shape it loosly then put it on a grill and leave it turn it once and leave
it (don’t forget the old finger in the middle) put some salt and pepper
THAT’S IT, you can ADD onions cheese, BUT this is the BASIC BURGER.

Give americans free food and they’re happy, even fried racoon’s ass on a

He’s totally clueless about making burgers. He’s a world class chef, but he
applies high class chef techniques to everything he makes, including foods
where it’s detrimental, like burgers, which should be simple and about the
beef, not full of egg yolks, diced onions, and salt throughout (mixing salt
in destroys the texture of ground beef and makes it rubbery like a sausage)
