Chocolate Heart Cake Recipe Demonstration – Joyofbaking.com

Recipe here: http://www.joyofbaking.com/ChocolateHeartCake.html Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make a Chocolate Heart Cake. Chocolate is about pleasure and what could be more pleasurable than a heart shaped chocolate chiffon cake that is filled with a chocolate whipped cream and then covered with a layer of chocolate ganache. This would be the perfect Valentine’s Day dessert and I like to use any leftover ganache to make chocolate truffles to decorate the top of the cake.

Loved the idea of using the leftover ganache left at bottom and turn them
    into truffles!

Thank you Stephanie for this wonderful video. I always wondered when my
cakes flattened and go down 🙁 but now I got the solution to turn over my
    cake while cooling.

Ooooh!! Come on now Stephanie!! I was already confused whether to make the
butter chocolate or pink cake for my 4 year old daughter’s birthday in a
couple of weeks! And now this!!! Your videos are really great and the
details even better! Well done! Here in Greece we use to put some light
sirup in each layer of cake. Which kind of batter is better to make?
Chiffon or butter cake? Your reply would be very helpful. Great job once
    again my dear!

    Hi Stephanie,

For this recipe instead of slicing the cake in half could I just divide the
batter evenly between 2 pans to bake separate layers? Thanks :)
