Watch how to make ‘Bhatura’, an easy to make recipe by Ruchi Bharani.

Bhatura is a dish that is very easy to make and is not very time consuming. It is the most popular accompaniment to chole. Check out chef Ruchi Bharani’s take on this very popular Indian bread recipe.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
salt to taste
1 1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup curd
oil for frying

Method:

– In a bowl, add the plain flour and the wheat flour and make a well in the centre.
– Add the curd, baking powder, salt to taste and oil and mix all the ingredients well to make the dough. Add water as and when required.
– Knead the dough well. Once the dough stops sticking to your hands, that means it’s ready.
– Once the dough is done, apply little oil on it, cover it with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
– After 30 minutes, make small balls of this dough.
– Apply little oil on the board and some on the rolling pin. Roll the small dough balls and make them around 2 mm thick.
– Fry them in hot oil on a high flame.
– The bhatura is ready to be served.

Like indeed. For sure. As sure as your approach to ccoking, and how easy to
follow your recipes are. When I feel like a particular dish, I search to
see if you have the recipe. That’s it.
