Kenafeh (Arabic: كنافة kanāfah, Turkish: künefe, Greek: κα(ν)ταΐφι kadaïfi/kataïfi), also spelled knafeh, kunafeh, or kunafah, is a Levantine cheese pastry soaked in sweet sugar-based syrup, typical of the regions belonging to the former Ottoman Empire.Knafeh or Kunafeh Cheescake (its spelling variations are as endless as its recipe variations) is a dessert specialty of the Levant, especially in Lebanon, the Palestinian territories, Syria and northern Egypt. It is a first cousin of the Greek kadaifi and the Turkish künefe and ekmek kadayıfı.

It’s a creepy recipe from the original one, please do not deceive the
people about our culture
First of all, thank you for the recipe’. Just wanted to point out that
Knafeh is not a Lebanese, Syrian or Jordanian; not to mention an Iraqi
dessert with all due respect. It’s Palestinian. The original name is
+knafeh nabulseyeh which refers to the city where knafe was first made. It
then moved to neighboring countries where it took some new forms and
adaptations relevant to the culture and cuisine of the new country.
Nevertheless, I don’t mind these variations and I find them great and
tempting 🙂
This is originally an Palestinian dish from a city called nablus its very
well known!
thanks look so yummyyyyyy
how come cant be hala :-
This is not philo dough, this is Frakeh
Hmmm. Look, I’m sure it was clear in his head. I’m just not that sure how
clear it comes across with many viewings. OK, the guy’s not that good as an
instructor. Nat Geo’s ” Marketplace ” had an episode wherein contained an
outstanding version of this dish. Ishai Golen has disappeared from view ,
but anyone interested should look up that episode.
ايه دخل الرسول و الدين في الكنافة دا مريض بالدين
