What if you don't have PVA glue?
no need to do all of that just add white glue and water in equal portions and mix em up nicely and you're done

When we paper mache in art class we use elemers glue water down for the paste
is better to use corn starch it wont go bad and its wayy stronger instead u cook the cornstarch to a glue like substance remove from stove and it will look exactly like glue it dnt smell and will last for a very long time my family uses it to make decorating vases to put fake flowers and even for pinatas pretty cool
Could a paper mache be the same as liquid starch?
after u use it u must dry let it dry in sunlight. it will have mold when u did not dry it
