Definitely trying this!!!!!
Like the idea of adding chopped walnuts. Like what you’ve done with your
voice, Mitch. Nice pleasing higher pitch. Great looking little guy you
have.
I cracked up when you sped up your daughter stomping her feet XD
LOVE this recipe! I like to mix some chopped walnuts in with the cake mix
too. Delicious. 🙂
Oh man, something went horribly wrong in my execution of this recipe in my
ninja. First thing, one can of pie filling (cherry or whatnot) is not
enough for the ninja, it is spread way too thin.
Now the adventure of my troubles begin:
I put the butter in the microwave and didn’t properly watch it, so it
turned liquid instead of mushy solid. I decided to go ahead and mix the
cake mix in anyway. It had no lumps. Apparently the lumps are required for
a good cobbler crust, according to
http://www.kevinandamanda.com/recipes/dessert/brown-butter-blueberry-cobbler.html
you can see that if you melt the butter on accident, it’s probably okay,
but you should mix it well until it cools/forms lumps.
Third thing, probably minor, I accidentally set the slow cooker setting to
low for 15 minutes before correcting it to high, which I then let it go
through for an hour and 50 minutes.
Fourth thing, I didn’t halve the amount of butter used for the recipe in
the ninja cooker. That could have made it worse, as well. In fact, I
actually used two “sticks” of butter! It looked like the “one stick” in the
video was actually 1 cup of butter. The sticks here on the west coast are
1/2 cup, typically.
My result, due to at least one of my aforementioned mistakes? Cake tasting
sugary mush with sparse amounts of fruit spread throughout. Anyway, just
writing this out as warning to everyone not to make the same mistakes I
did. If I try it again and I succeed I’ll update with what I did to make it
right. Now I need to go concentrate on not feeling so sick from my tummy
ache, ugh.
Made this for dessert tonight & topped it with a scoop of vanilla ice
cream. Family loved it. Thanks for a quick & easy recipe :)
Hi! Why would you use half the butter in the Ninja? I don’t have a Ninja
slow cooker yet. I love my Ninja blender though! But, I’m not sure why
you’d half the butter in the Ninja. Thanks!
yummy making it today.
Awesome cobbler that you must try!! As always it is super easy! Not to
mention absolutely delicious!
Just put all the ingredients in the main pot. Use it like you would a
crockpot.
Just out of curiosity, and because I suck at cooking, what setting would
you use on the Ninja? Would you use the crockpot feature or the oven
feature?
No haven’t tried it. It might be better to leave it as is since it is a
butter crumb topping.
I love how your baby is waiting 🙂
Ha. ha.. Sorry about that, I am surprised we didn’t put you to sleep. ha..
Once you get your Ninja you will be ahead of the curve. Thank you for the
sweet compliments, we are a bit biased but we think our baby is the cutest
baby ever. : ) Keep on watching, More videos to come…
Well, I hope you’re happy, I was up all night watching your videos-and I
don’t even have a Ninja…..yet. Your baby is as cute as the dickens! I
like and subscribed. Thank you for taking the time to do these!
I believe you are right, You would half the butter. Did you try it? I am
certain you will like it.
If you do this in the Ninja would you half the butter/margarine or still
use the same amount? I agree with the others, the baby is darling. A chef
in the making.
sorry for the late response, You would use the crockpot setting on the
ninja. Thanks for watching!!
Is that what the multi pan is for on the ninja or would you just put all
this inside the ninja without any pan?
