Perfect turkey no worries about keeping juices in. I cook this turkey
every year my first year scarrrrrred to death. I didn’t share it with
anyone for few it would come out wrong.
I liked not worrying about the inners. That made it simple for me. If you
want a good simple turkey boy this is it without all the fuss and muss.
That trick of melting the butter with sage and rosemary then putting them
in the cavity then basting with butter yum yum
Thank you so much for this video! I am cooking a Turkey this year…I’m all
alone but that’s okay…I will eat for weeks! 🙂 I am KC and I approve this
message
the modern food safety recommendation is that you do not wash raw poultry
as you are more likely to spread the bacteria around. The bacteria on the
bird will be killed off I the cooking process anyway.
The past few Thanksgivings my sister did a poor job of making the turkey,
so this year I’m doing it and I’m using Chef John’s method.
I’m really nervous to make it without an oven bag, I’ve always made it in
the bag. I’m wondering if this method comes out drier…
What part of that doesn’t sound fun?
I used this recipe for my first turkey last year and my husband is STILL
talking about it, so I came back for a refresher coarse so I can wow
everyone again! Thanks Chef John!
I made this Turkey last year and everyone loovveedd it! It was well
seasoned and super juicy and delicious I am making it again this year:-)
Can this be done if its not thanksgiving..?
LOVE THIS THANK YOU SO MUCH CHEF JOHN
Beautiful turkey, 8 days and counting….. lol !
You really should soak your turkey 6-8 hours in salt water.
1. Use a large cooking pot.
2. Add water, salt, parsley, oregano.
3. Stick it in the fridge for 6-8 hours.
4. Now your ready for Chef John.
Now you will have a juicy bird. Enjoy..
