This reminds me of my grandmother's "dump cake" recipe
That's what we call it in Texas. Not sure if it's called something else
John & Chef Tony, I just saw the skillets you want at Cabelas. They are called the outfitter series. They are raw cast iron, not enameled. They come with two "helper handles" instead of a long handle. They come in sizes 10" – 20". Perfect for Kamado cooking.
Thanks!
I for one would for sure be interested, love my cast iron!!
Santa needs to hit us both up on that one! That is quite the pricey pan! Lodge makes some paella pans that might have fit, I need to see if they have a Kamado friendly size!
Well… I dunno about Chef Tony, but Johnny Man Cave can't fork out for Le Creuset! I just went to have a look at the Le Creuset website and found the "Braisers" which are pretty much exactly what I'd be looking for. The 1.5qt model starts at $175 and the 5qt model is $290. Now that I know these exist, maybe I can con Santa into hookin' a brother up…. 🙂
That really looks good enough to eat. Mmmmm peaches!
Uhhh, I'm pretty sure Le Creuset Cookware makes something,,,,Do a search. I"m guessing you and Tony are gonna have to stay poor for a little longer….I'm just say'n.
Fab
Thanks man! That is a brilliant idea, with a pan like that, we probably wouldn't have even needed to turn it because Kamados are so awesome and even!
