Food Ingredients:
1 pound of beef fillet 4 1/2 cups of water for boiling 3 tablespoons of cooking oil 1/2 inch of galangal root 1 lemongrass, crushed 2 bay leaves 3 kaffir lime leaves 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce sugar and salt to taste 3 pieces of keluwak 5 pieces of french shallot 3 pieces of garlic 2 teaspoons of fried coriander 1/2 inch of turmeric root
Recipe preparation:
1 Grind the keluwak, shallot, garlic, coriander and turmeric root into a paste 2 Fry the condiments together with galangal, bay leaves, kaffir lime leaves, and lemongrass until fragrant 3 Add in the beef. Stir until the beef turns color. Add the sweet soy sauce, salt, sugar and water. 4 Simmer with low heat until the beef is tender.
