The pork was great, the sauce not so. The flavour of apple cider vinegar was too strong.
It's in the slow cooker as we speak……can't wait
Yuck!! They put this good meat onto white bread? Gross!
Texas BBQ is beef not pork.
i did this last night was happy with the results, and it's got to be worth a thumbs up, thank you very much for share'ing this wonderful recipe:-)))
can i do this with out putting brown sugar in?
Everyone waive goodbye to the juiciness @2:00. Never cut into any cooked meat that isn't rested. Your patience will be rewarded.
I would rub the dry ingredients into the meat before putting it into the slow cooker.
+reduk k …Do you recommend skimming the fat off the liquid before adding in the pulled meat or no?
+Lisa Elle The type of roast used for pulled pork is a pork butt (shoulder roast)…the key to cooking this cut of meat to perfection (moist, tender, & succulent) is low and slow (anywhere from 8-10 hrs on low in the crock pot). And as for the sauce…you can make your own or a good over the counter one is Sweet Baby Rays (you can also use a store bought sauce as a base and doctor it up to your liking)…some ppl also prefer a vineager sauce. Hope this helped :-)
Is that Kosher?
