hey Kate .. I just made this dish and looks amazing but the crumble didn’t
turn brown on top like yours and it kinnda looked raw so I put it back
again for another 10mins. it still looks the same to me and I can taste the
sugar crystals. is that how its suppose to be? otherwise it tastes AMAZING
and my family loved it :)
You’re very cute!
Hi from Madrid! I am going to try and surprise my family with such a
British treat; they would not expect it, and I am sure they will love it.
Thanks for an easy way of making things simple. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing your recipe with us! It turned out perfect and everybody
loved it. Thank you, once again:)
Greetings from Mexico.
Cheers.
I just tried your recipe, and it’s absolutely delicious and easy to
recreate! Thanks so much for this video!
I feel like you should specify how much of the ingredients we have to
put… All ur saying is bit of this and bit of that.
Very nice! – Living in Brazil, I did adapt a few things( for a larger tray
than yours)
– for the apple and/or pineapple filling: I use brown sugar, a pinch of
nutmeg + cinnamon, a lime & small orange juices (these prevents the apples
from browning) and zests + 1 tbsp of cornstarch because that is more liquid
than usual and 2-3 tbsp of a fruity extra virgin olive oil (EVO). Let it
simmer for 5-6 m and proceed.
– for the topping: I use 1/3 ap flour, 1/3 corn flour (polenta like, not
cornstarch) and 1/3 oat flour or bran with chopped Brazil nuts & peanuts /
granola or oats. I’ve tried using olive oil instead of butter – it works
fine, EVO combines well with nutty and citrus flavours – but for keeping
the butter flavour I now use 1/2 butter & 1/2 EVO.
im making this from your video right now thanks katie! x
Thank you so much for using grams instead of cups. I always have to
calculate, haha 🙂

You have such a great talent! I’ve watched nearly all your amusing videos
and I love them especially the fruit trifle that would be great for summer!

Commenting this while the crumble is in the oven can’t wait to try it
Can you use granulated sugar or brown sugar instead of caster sugar?
