Recipe ingredients and directions:


1 c. water

2 c. precooked wheat kernels

1 stick cinnamon, or 1/4 t. ground cinnamon

1 T. whole anise seed

2 T. sugar

1/2 c. raisins

1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine water, wheat kernels and spices in a pan. Simmer 5 to 10

minutes; remove from heat. Add sugar, raisins and pecans. Chill

or serve warm. Serves 6.
