Easy Homemade Italian Spaghetti Marinara Recipe

Got to love spaghetti dinner. One of our favorites.
Easy homemade spaghetti with marinara sauce.
Spaghetti for breakfast anyone? We do and love
it. It is that good. Enjoy.

Easy Homemade Italian Spaghetti Marinara Recipe

1 pound cooked spaghetti – or linguine or fettuccine

Sauce:
1-2 pounds of ground beef – use lean
1 cup diced onion
1 cup diced bell pepper
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1-2 tbsp minced garlic
1 – 28oz can tomato puree
1 – 28oz can tomato sauce
1 – 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp italian seasonings
1 tsp thyme
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese – good stuff

In pot add tomato puree, tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes.

In skillet on medium high heat, brown ground beef and
chop into small pieces. Salt and pepper to taste.
Drain off fat. Add to sauce.

In same skillet add onions, peppers, mushrooms and minced
garlic. Cook for 5 minutes or until vegies are tender.
Add to sauce and stir.

Add seasonings (oregano, basil, Italian seasoning and thyme)
to sauce and cook on a simmer for 45 minutes.
Add grated parmesan cheese and stir. Cook for an additional
15-20 minutes.

Ladle sauce over spaghetti and garnish with more
parmesan cheese.

If mixing sauce and pasta together in a bowl, add 2-3
tbsp of pasta water to help the sauce stick to the pasta.

Serving with a fresh kale salad.
